Along with the many ribbons the team brought home was a high-point trophy, awarded to 12 year old Kestra Kihleng as she tied for third place in the overall points earned in her age division.
Swimmers were also able to tour some of the sites of the island during the five days they were in Saipan. They also enjoyed the island’s famous Night Market where the local entertainment performed a Pohnpeian song in honor of the team from Pohnpei.
The team returned from Saipan in high spirits and looks forward to representing Pohnpei in future competitions.
